About
Working Alongside Artists at Every Stage of the Process
My studio practice is built on decades of performing and recording.
Before I was producing records, I was a working musician. I’ve been a bassist since childhood, studied performance, toured with indie rock bands and classical ensembles. I spent years on stage performing for audiences at venues like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Carnegie Hall, and the Shanghai Grand Theatre in China, before focusing more fully on studio work. That background still shapes how I run sessions. Performance, then tone, then refinement.
Over time, I found myself drawn to helping other artists develop their sound. I focused on engineering and production so I could be a stronger collaborator. I understand the technical side of recording, and I know what it feels like to be on the other side of the glass.
In addition to studio work, I’ve spent years in live sound and technical audio roles. That experience informs how I think about clarity and translation. A record should hold up in the room, on stage, and anywhere else it’s played.
I work primarily with singer-songwriters and independent artists across genres. Some artists arrive with finished songs, others are still shaping arrangements. My role is to listen, ask questions, and help you make decisions that serve the music. The goal is not to overproduce or impose a sound. It’s to create a focused space where strong performances can happen and the music can speak for itself.
